News | XBox Series X and S Release

I think we can all agree that this has been a pretty interesting and exciting week in gaming. Following a leak that Microsoft has declared to be partially true, the Next-Gen Xbox console is set to be released on November 10th.

But hold on, that’s not all. Microsoft has also confirmed that the digital-only version of the Next-Gen console, the Series S, will also be released on the same day and additionally the Series S will cost less than the X.

What is the difference you ask? Well apart from the size and that the Series S is a digital-only (No CD Drive), there are a few notable differences.

The Series S is said to be 60% smaller than the Series X, with 512GB SSD. Unfortunately, you will not be able to natively play as 4K definition, the Series S does support 4K media streaming, for a guy like me, I don’t mind. The Series X will however come with native 4K output and a 1TB SSD. Now the question you have been asking yourself since you started reading this article, is of course, how much is it going to cost? Well, I’ve got good news, the Series S will be retailing at $299 which is roughly R5100.00, but expect the price to be around R6999.99, and the Series X will be retailing for $599, expect to be paying around R11 999.00. Pre-orders for both will start on the 28th of September.

On paper I am a lot of things, but really I'm just a guy who likes the internet.
